UAE proclaimed Changes to regulation on employment contracts

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has proclaimed changes to the decree-law governing Employment Relationship Regulation. Employment contracts should have a defined term under the new changes, and they can be renewed only if both parties to the contract agree. In a very balanced manner, the amendment aims to safeguard both parties. It boosts the expansion and stability of the labor market and boosts the economic competitiveness of the UAE.

Minister of Human Resources and Emiratization Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar stated:The UAE Government continues to develop laws and regulations that meet the needs of UAE's future development over the next fifty years. Our business environment's stability, resilience, and attractiveness are enhanced by the laws and regulations. The laws are based on the UAE's advanced development model, which is based on justice, respect for human rights, and staying ahead of changes. This ensures the UAE's ongoing advancement, stability, and leadership status."The new amendments create an advanced ecosystem of mechanisms that enhance the labor market's attractiveness to business owners and talent while also enhancing its ease of doing business, productivity, and resilience.
